Start! Lifestyle Change Award Finalist Sponsored by First American Payment Systems and the Tarrant County American Heart Association

Through the Start! Lifestyle Change Award, sponsored by First American Payment Systems and the Tarrant County American Heart Association, the American Heart Association recognizes individuals who have made positive changes to improve their quality of life and health. No change is too small, and every accomplishment is significant! 

10 finalists and 3 winners are chosen by a volunteer committee.  All 10 finalists and the 3 winners were recognized in the Lifestyle Change Award Tent at the Start! Heart Walk by highlighting reasons for their nomination and why they made it to the finalist status. This year there were over 12,500 people in attendance at the Tarrant County Start! Heart Walk.

Reilly was the youngest finalist in Tarrant County since the beginning of the Start! Lifestyle Change Awards 5 years ago. All 2010 finalists and winners were listed in the Fort Worth Business Press Start! Heart Walk special insert in August 2011.

The Start! Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier fundraiser, gives people an opportunity to improve their health through walking while helping fund the fight against heart disease and stroke. The Start! Program encourages corporations and individuals to promote physical fitness and help break down the obstacles that keep Americans from being physically active. The movement focuses on walking as an activity because it’s accessible, free and has the lowest dropout rate of any type of exercise.
